Black-faced Spoonbill
I was surprised to learn of a Black-faced Spoonbill sighting at Suwanoike Pond, Shimabara Peninsula, so I headed there this morning to see if it were true. Not only did I confirm the sighting, I was lucky to have the spoonbill approach my position so I was able to get some decent images. This bird seems to be a young juvenile.
